Cabo Fish Report August 29 to September 8, 2015

Captain George Landrum

Cabo Fish Report
August 19 – Sept. 10, 2015

SYNOPSIS: This reporting period started off very slow with an occasional Striped Marlin outnumbered by the Blue Marlin, a few small Dorado and an occasional football Tuna. We were hoping for improvement and were not disappointed! Fishing did not really start to improve until 10 days ago but now we are seeing plenty of Yellowfin, some nice Dorado, lots of Wahoo and the Marlin are still hungry! Look below for more details.

WEATHER: Our weather has remained typical for this time of year with daytime highs occasionally reaching 100+ degrees but mostly in the mid 90;s and the nights cooling down to the mid 80’s. The saving grace has been the movement of weather coming off of the mainland and right now, the feeder bands of Hurricane Linda. These have provided us with an occasional rain, sometimes heavy but not lasting too long, and plenty of cloud cover. The hills are green!

WATER: The water sure improved over the previous reporting period as the currents moved the green water away and allowed the blue water to come close.
