Elegant Textbooks isn’t self publishing.

You’d come to bear in mind the format isn’t in any way difficult to follow together with. In the following post, you’ll discover a fundamental arrangement including an example which will allow you to draft your own coverpage. First, the correspondence structure must be appropriate. The essential structure of the notice stays the same though. In the strategy section, it is crucial for you to furnish the reader with a fast summary of the manner you can gather information along with stuff on your paper. Continue reading

JC’s Sportfishing Charters is a family owned and operated business and has been fishing in Cabo San Lucas for the past 18 years. Jerry, explains that his charter business is geared more for families and novice anglers, making sure everyone who charters a boat with him have a great time and lots of fun. We welcome families, and groups. We want everyone who fishes with us to take all the sites in and have memorable experience. This is what is most important to us. We have and do a few tournaments each year and can cater to fisherman who might be interested in tournament fishing. Let’s get on with the report for this past week.

WEATHER: The weather has been actually a little warmer than normal for this time of year. What winter we have here in Cabo has been  really nonexistent so far this year with temperatures above average. I would say today it was pushing 85 to 90 degrees.

WATER: Cooler water temperatures this past week hasn¹t changed the good fishing we are still catching Dorado, Tuna and of course Striped Marlin. . . . Click here to read the complete JC’s Sportfishing fish report

WEATHER:  We had wonderful weather this week with our lows in the high 50’s and the highs in the mid 80’s.  The skies remained mostly sunny except for a bit of overcast on Saturday and while the wind did blow a bit in the evenings it was pretty nice and mellow during the daytime.  No rain of course!

WATER:  Water temperatures on the Sea of Cortez side were 73-74 degrees except for some warm water around the 1150 and Seamount area where it warmed up a bit to 74-75 degrees.  The water was a bit off-color in the 73-74 degree area.  Surface conditions on the side were very good with swells small at 1-3 feet and no wind chop until either the late afternoon or if you went up past Punta Gorda to the north.  On the Pacific side of the peninsula the water was 73-74 degree almost anywhere you went, and the water was a lot cleaner than the Sea of Cortez side.  Surface conditions were great as well with swells at 2-4 feet but spaced far apart.  Around mid-afternoon during the later part of the week the wind picked up a bit and made for some choppy conditions, but there was no issue with the fishing being affected.

BAIT:  There are more Mackerel available than there were last week and this trend should continue as the water becomes cooler every week.  A mix of Mackerel and Caballito were the normal bait purchase this week.  The price continued to be steady at $3 U.S. Per bait, and if the boat you were on was buying from the same bait boat all the time, often a bag or chunk of ice was included in the purchase.

Pisces Sportfishing Cabo Fish Report January 4th to 10th, 2014

Pisces SportfishingPISCES SPORTFISHING WEEKLY FISH REPORT
January 4th to 10th, 2014
Overall Catch Success Rate 100%
Numbers at a glance: Billfish 61%, Dorado 41%, Tuna 47%, Other 24%

BILLFISH:
The good thing this week was that we had a perfect score, every single boat we sent out caught something and more often than not, quite a lot of fish. This period striped marlin was the species most likely to be encountered by anglers aboard Pisces boats. We had great catches of other species too, but nevertheless more boats found marlin than anything else. As predicted in our previous fish report, the stacking up of boats off of the Old Lighthouse who were bottom fishing for the stripers, came to an end after three weeks, the fish spread out and charters are moving up the coast, mostly to Golden Gate to find them.  Catches ranged from one to three marlin per boat, with our top boat Pisces Yahoo, having a fabulous day releasing five striped marlin for Greg Stewart from Palin City, Alabama, who also caught a tuna, grouper and two dorado. Our little 28 ft. boat Adriana, really must have flown to be able to get to Golden Gate & back on a half day trip and release three striped marlin for Mike Flanagan from Pennsylvania. This same boat had three big stripers on January 8th, up to 200 LBS at La Bomba & Golden Gate for Joe Xumphonphakdy (yes we questioned that name too) & Megan Laube from New Jersey. It was nice to finally have some live mackerel available – striped marlins’ absolute favorite, improving the odds of hook ups. That said those boats that took caballito for bait also did well.  Sixty one percent of our boats caught marlin this week, giving us a total of forty eight fish, all released.

Gordo Banks Pangas Fish Report January 11

Anglers

The Holiday Season has come to an end, school’s are back in session, work schedules are set and it is now time to start the New Year. Also a great time to start thinking about planning another adventure south of the border, where there is plenty of warm sunshine and activities to enjoy. While there was an Arctic freeze that swept through much of the United States this past week, Southern Baja was basking in balmy winter weather conditions, sunny days with highs of 75 to 80 degrees.

Winds were blowing predominately out of the north, but not overly strong and anglers enjoyed comfortable ocean conditions most days.

Water temperatures ranged from 72 to 75 degrees, warmest areas located 30 to 40 miles offshore, in the direction of the Sea of Cortez.

Pisces Sportfishing Cabo Fish Report Dec 28, 2013 to Jan. 3, 2014

Pisces SportfishingPISCES SPORTFISHING WEEKLY FISH REPORT
Deccember 28th to January 3rd, 2014
Overall Catch Success Rate All Species Combined 94%
Numbers at a glance: Marlin 45%, Dorado 69%, Tuna 6%, Other 11%

BILLFISH: Catches of striped marlin were quite steady this week, but we are not seeing the numbers yet that we would like. Boats continue to stack up off of the Old Lighthouse about a mile or so offshore and are soaking baits. We are still in the odd period where marlin are on the bottom feeding. This usually lasts around three weeks, but it can be frustrating as you need to sit all day amongst a crowd of boats and may only get one fish for a days’ patience. We counted eighty five boats in an area of about one square mile on January 2nd.  Other captains decided they didn’t want any part of that and preferred to cruise up the coast in search of dorado and perhaps pick up a stray marlin as they are also being spotted on the surface in some places. One boat that did beat the odds was Pisces Fearless on December 29th, when they caught and released five marlin up to 120 lbs. Jason & Kristina Armstrong, fishing with Scott & Ava Lessing from Palo Alto, California. Greg Stewart from Plain City, Alabama had a fabulous day out on Pisces Yahoo, releasing three striped marlin close to Golden Gate and catching thirteen dorado off of Elias Calles. This same boat had a triple marlin day earlier in the week this time off of the Old Lighthouse for Jay Alexander from Georgia.  Generally the average marlin catch was of one fish and less occasionally two, a little under half of the boats caught marlin this week giving us a total count of 50 caught and released.

Gordo Banks Pangas Fish Report January 4

Gordo Banks Pangas, San Jose del Cabo, Fish Report January 4, 2014

The first week of the New Year has seen many families’s visiting the Los Cabos area. While much of North America is being blasted by icy winter temperatures, Southern Baja has been very pleasant, scattered cloud cover with temperatures reaching up to 80 degrees, lows of about 60 degrees, winds were predominately blowing from the north which is normal during the winter months, so calmer ocean conditions were found in the direction of Cabo San Lucas.

Ocean water temperature now averaged in the 72/74 degree range. Cleaner blue water was found furrther offshore, though most of the fishing action was now encountered closer to shore, where water was a greenish color, with varying degrees of visibility. More baitfish are now schooling in close proximity to the shore, so this is where anglers found more productive action. Concentrations of sardinetas and mackerel are now schooling off of the Old Light House on the Pacific side of Cabo San Lucas. Other options for bait were caballito and ballyhoo, no sardinas were available for this past week.

WEATHER:  Unlike those of you living in the north, our weather remained very comfortable this week.  Our daily highs were in the mid to high 80’s and the nighttime lows averaged 67 degrees with a low in town of 62 degrees.  The wind shifted during the week, coming from the north at the start of the week and then shifting and coming from the northeast mid-week and then back from the north again at the end of the week.  We had partly cloudy skies with a high overcast on Saturday, but the rest of the week was mostly sunny.

WATER:  The water on the Sea of Cortez side was cooler than that on the Pacific side, and off-color in comparison as well.  Temperatures ranged from 71 degrees up by Punta Gorda to 73 degrees off of Gray Rock while on the Pacific side it was 74 degrees between the San Jaime / Golden Gate Banks line-up and the shoreline, and 75 degrees on the banks and to the west.  The offshore water on the Pacific side was cleaner as well.  Surface conditions to the northern side of our fishing range on the Pacific were rough and choppy for the later part of the week, but very calm and smooth on the Cortez side.  In between these extremes we had slightly choppy conditions in the afternoons when the winds picked up, but calm conditions in the mornings.

BAIT:  No change in bait availability again, with Caballito and a few Mackerel making up the choice of live baits this past week, and you were lucky to get the Mackerel.  The price was the normal $3 each.  There were also frozen Ballyhoo at $3 each.

Cabo Fish Report, Nov. 4 – 11, 2013
By: Captain George Landrum

WEATHER: We had an interesting week on the weather front as on Wednesday evening a few clouds started to roll in, this was the evening of the W.O.N. Tuna Tournament sign up. Prior to then we had sunny skies with themperatures in the high 80′s during the day and the mid 70′s at night. We woke Thursday morning to little spats of rain, not enough to get a run off going, but it did make the plants happy. Later in the day the rain picked up and it cleared off by late afternoon, though the clouds stuck around until early Friday morning. We had a bit of humidity then and it has lasted through the weekend, and our temperatures have remained in the mid to high 80′s during the day and the mid to high 70′s at night.

WATER: The water was great all week long except for the afternoon on Friday as the clouds over our area blew away, then there was a bit of a chop on the water, but not too bad. Surface conditions during the week were swells at 3-5 feet on the Pacific side and 1-3 feet on the Cortez side. Water temperatures averaged several degrees higher on the Corte side at 82 degrees while on the Pacific side withing the area from the San Jaime and Golden Gate Banks it was 80 degrees and farther out it dropped to 77 degrees. At the end of the week this cooler water had worked its way inside the Banks and we had the 77-78 degree water as close as three miles off the beach. At the end of the week the water on the Pacific side was clean and blue while the area around the Gorda Banks and off of Palmilla on the Corte side were a bit off-colored.

Weekly Fish Report – October 18, 2013

The Los Cabos Billfish Tournament is in full swing and the day 1 leader is a boat named “Extraction” with a beautiful 625 lb. Blue Marlin …. that fish is going to be tough to beat on the final day of fishing. Not fishing in the tournament our great 45′ Cabo Express “CHAOS” with Captain David at the controls had a trolled jig crashed by an estimated 450 lb. Blue Marlin and is our boat of the day. Mr. Whitman and his friends could not have been more excited upon their return. A replica of the fish done by King Sailfish mounts will soon be hanging on his wall. The Blue & Black Marlin are definitely in town.  Read more: Picante Sportfishing Cabo Fish Report
